My approach
I believe counselling is a process of gently bringing together our different experiences, especially parts that may feel fractured or difficult to face. Rather than turning away from what feels difficult or painful, it can be a space where these experiences are acknowledged, explored, and understood as part of your story. Over time, what once felt like something to keep out of sight can begin to hold meaning, strength, and a sense of wholeness.
The relationship we build can support you to reconnect with parts of yourself that may feel lost or hidden, recognise what has shaped you, and consider what you may want to change. This work isn't about "fixing" you; it's about gently making sense of your experiences and finding new ways to relate to yourself and others. Over time, this can help you feel more settled, more connected to yourself, and clearer about how you want to move forward.
I tailor how I work to fit your needs, recognising that no single approach fits everyone. Together, we create a way of working that reflects your preferences, and at your pace. At the heart of this, is creating a space where you feel at ease, listened to, and able to talk openly.
You may be experiencing bereavement, grief and loss, anxiety, relationship difficulties, work-related stress, changes in health, and periods of uncertainty, overwhelm, or feeling emotionally stuck. You might be adjusting to significant life changes, feeling disconnected from yourself or unsure about where life is heading. Equally, therapy doesn’t need to fit a category, it can simply be a space to think, feel and make sense of things in your own way.
